Before Scannova, Carl Segbefia spent years in media production in Accra, much of it behind a Steadicam. Moving through a space with a camera on your body teaches you how rooms connect: where a corridor turns, how light falls through a doorway, how far one room really sits from the next.

In pre-production, that knowledge was hard to hand over. Location managers were sent photos and notes, then crews arrived at sites that felt nothing like what they had pictured, and shots planned around those spaces had to be rethought on the day. The space was never the problem. The way it was communicated was. In 2026 Carl started Scannova to fix that.

Every space has the same problem. A fort on the coast changes a little every year, and there is no measured record of how it looked before. A buyer abroad finds a home they like, and the sale stops until they can fly in. A guest can’t picture the room before they book. So we capture the space once, measure it, and send it by link to whoever needs it. One visit gives a walkable 3D model, photographs and floor plans, live within 24 hours.
